National Honor Society

TCHS National Honor Society Activities

All NHS chapter members will complete volunteer projects throughout the year. These projects are approved by the adviser based on their service to the local community.

NHS members are required to attend at least half of the chapter meetings. Meetings are held either during Flex/Study Hall or after school. Meetings will be based on the four pillars of the National Honor Society: Leadership, Scholarship, Service, and Character.

The chapter will be led by student officers. These officers are nominated and selected by chapter members and the NHS Faculty Council.

Members may participate in fundraisers to support chapter activities and events.

TCHS National Honor Society Selection Process

Candidates are selected based on a cumulative GPA of 3.5 non-weighted or 4.0 weighted.

Candidates must be enrolled in a full-time course load. Candidates must have completed at least one semester of classes at Trinity Christian High School.

Candidates will receive a Candidate Application from the adviser. Candidates will need to read through the application, fill it out, and return it to the Adviser. Candidates who accept membership are asked to sign and return the Trinity Christian School NHS Commitments form and to pay the NHS membership dues.

The Faculty Council will review the Candidate Applications and vote on selected candidates based on their Leadership, Scholarship, Service, and Character.

Selection letters will be delivered to each student by the adviser, either by hand delivery or postal delivery.

Candidates who are not selected are free to appeal through the NHS appeals process.
