International Admissions

Our International Student program was started in 2008 and is made up of 11-15 international students each year from around the world, including countries like China, Botswana, and Russia. In the past, students from Zimbabwe, Korea and Japan have also attended. Host families love the opportunity to learn about other cultures, while loving on these students that are away from home.

International Admissions

Trinity Christian High School accepts applications from high school-age students, grades 9-12, who are interested in pursuing a university education and acknowledge Christianity as their faith. While most students plan to study until graduation, students wishing to study for only one year are welcome. 

INTERNATIONAL ADMISSION CRITERIA:

Students will be granted admission based on their academic history, recommendations, student questionnaire answers, and a Zoom interview with the TCS Principal and International Student Coordinator. Applicants who meet all the admission requirements and have been accepted as a student at Trinity Christian School will be provided the I-20 immigration document. This will allow the student to apply for an F-1 student visa.

It is mandatory for international students attending TCS to carry medical insurance. Insurance premiums are added to tuition but should be secured separately by the student. Proof of this insurance will be required prior to the first day of school. Purchase Insurance here.

Applicants should have all required documents to the Trinity Christian School Office of Admissions by the above date. Please submit all the necessary documents to ensure the processing of the application is completed on time.

New and returning students should be prepared to arrive by August 5, 2024. Please email your travel itinerary, translated into English, to Mrs. Lockett once you have secured your travel arrangements.

Payments for tuition, fees, and gifts may be made by bank check or sent directly to the Trinity Christian School bank account by wire transfer. Please contact Mrs. Lockett for wire transfer instructions. Tuition (including the host family fee) is due when you arrive at the school for the start of classes. Tuition (and host family fee) may be paid in its entirety before the first day of classes, or it may be paid in two equal installments, with the fall term tuition paid on or before August 15th and the spring term tuition paid on or before January 3rd. Please note that it can take up to two weeks to receive an international wire transfer, so wire transfers should be made no later than August 1st and December 15th to ensure tuition payments are made on time. Students cannot begin classes in any term where their tuition still needs to be paid. Once the student has entered their first day of class, tuition for that term is NON-REFUNDABLE.

Each student is required to live with a local family. International students who do not live with their biological families are placed with Christian host families who are screened and approved by the school. Each adult in the household has had a criminal background check for students’ safety. Students are expected to engage in the host family lifestyle and attend church regularly. Your yearly tuition and fees include a host family fee (including food, lodging, and transportation to and from school).

Applicants who are newly enrolled but not a participant in a CSIET-approved program may only be able to participate in extracurricular sports once they have been at Trinity Christian High School for twelve months. Competitive sports are optional and cost an additional fee.
