Spiritual Life

Spiritual Life 1

At the heart of it, Trinity Christian School is truly a Christian School. Teaching students from a Biblical worldview is the basis for every single academic lesson. An education that neglects to address a student’s spiritual development is incomplete. Trinity Christian students learn about God not just in chapels and Bible classes. Christ is woven throughout all programs, from history to science and art to basketball. Starting in early elementary, students learn to compare and contrast secular worldviews with a biblical worldview. Students are encouraged to question and dig deeply. Our faculty is passionate about developing the mind and character of every Trinity Christian student.

Small Groups

TCS High School students meet in small groups three times per month. Groups are divided up in various ways and each group covers a relevant Bible study.

Chapel

Chapel

PreK through 5th grade students participate in a dynamic and interactive chapel time once a week. Various classes share messages full of biblical truth to help students understand who God is, how much He loves them, and how they can live a life pleasing to Him. Students in 6th-8th grade also attend chapel once per week. Staff, administration, and area youth pastors inspire students to grow in their faith and to apply the truth of God’s Word to their lives. Worship is led by our High School worship band.

High school students also attend chapel. On Fridays, the focus is Praise and Worship, taking a moment to breathe and be still before the Lord. Other chapels will be very purpose driven and relevant to what our kids are facing and dealing with in their world today. These chapels will be organized by our elected student chaplains.

Student Connect Initiative

Trinity Christian High School students are partnered with a teacher or staff member each year. These adults are the first line of support, connection and encouragement for our students. They are the ones who truly see the students on a daily basis. They make sure that every high school student at TCS is seen, loved, valued and respected.

Mission Trips

Mission Trips

At Trinity Christian School, we help our students discover their purpose – in the classroom, in the community, and in the world. In the Spring, every high school student participates in a mission trip. We partner with local ministries; some students stay and minister in Lubbock, some travel domestically, and some even travel internationally. Trips are comprised of 12-14 students. This allows us to really focus on relationships – before, during, and after the trip. We believe this is a unique opportunity that opens student’s lives to a new world of possibilities.

Middle school students participate in a scaled back version of mission trips. We pursue local opportunities for serving one day in the fall and one day in the Spring. Faith is love in action.
