Academic Tracks

If you have more than one child, you know that no two children are exactly the same. That’s why we offer more than one “track” through high school. Our counselors help guide your teen through selecting classes that are best suited for them, whether that’s a course that’s on-level with their age and grade, an AP class, or dual-credit courses taught here through South Plains College or on-site at Lubbock Christian University.

Standards-Aligned Curriculum

You’ll find our curriculum at Trinity Christian School is rigorous and thorough. We are a standards-based learning school, which means we use the state standards as a framework but adapt lessons to fit our Christian mission.

Character-Building Sports & Arts

Your teen has the chance to shine at TCS, whether that’s in our 4A championship-winning athletics program or onstage with our talented fine arts students. Our electives, extracurriculars, and clubs allow students to explore their gifts and interests — all while building confidence, fortitude, and grace.

Learning Through Serving

Each year, our entire high school closes down for a week in January so that our students and faculty can serve on missions trips. In 2024, we sent 236 students to 18 different locations to help with everything from hunger relief in Estonia to improving literacy at a nearby elementary school in Texas.

Supporting Success for Every Student

We all want what’s best for your teen, but only God knows the future. That’s why, at TCS in Lubbock, TX, we spend time helping students nurture their gifts and talents and teaching them to discern God’s will. Then, if God calls a student to attend college, we prepare them. If God calls a student to master a trade, start a business, raise a family, or enter the mission field, we equip them. Here is a high-level view of how we guide students down the path that’s right for them.

Guidance Counselors

Your teen — and sometimes you — will have one-on-one meetings with the counselor to discuss college or trade school programs. The counselor will help students select classes, prepare for college visits, and register for SAT and ACT exams.

Junior/Senior Seminar

Our 11th graders spend the spring semester in Junior Seminar, where they will work on everything pertaining to their college applications. Our 12th graders spend the fall semester in Senior Seminar, where they finish college applications and are taught “Adulting 101.”

A Story of Success

“There’s such an amazing peace in knowing that my daughter is safe, loved, and valued as a student at Trinity Christian High School. I enjoy watching her interact with her teachers and classmates because there are no strangers in the halls or in the classrooms; everyone knows your name. TCS is a family and we’re honored to be a part.”

THE ALLEN FAMILY

A Culture Based on Christ’s Love

Teens are under a great deal of pressure to fit in, to achieve, and to make decisions that affect their long-term future. We help our students navigate this confusing and stressful time by:

  • Teaching God’s truth. We offer a biblical worldview in every class, including lessons on grace and strength. And while we can’t protect teens from everything that’s happening in the world, we do make sure that the message they hear about it at school is similar to what they will hear at home.
  • Encouraging authentic relationships with peers and faculty. Teachers model — and require — that everyone be treated with respect. This contributes to an environment where genuine friendships can form and people of all ages support one another.
  • Valuing each student. We believe your teen has a unique purpose and calling. We are in their corner, cheering for them to reach their full potential.

A Safe, Welcoming Campus

We take all the modern safety precautions. Plus, with our small class sizes, we know each of our students and their families and can step in to help in times of need.
