Parents, Dr. Cox wanted to give you a quick update on the fantastic things that have happened this school year - and an update on where TCS is headed next year - and even beyond that! We are so grateful for our TCS community - and for the Lord's faithfulness to our school! Check it out here!

did you see his family I want to take a brief moment to get you some important updates and answer some questions that I've been getting lately first I do want to say thank you for making this such an amazing year in the middle of everything that's going on with respect to covid-19 only have we managed they open but we have managed to consistently grow throughout the year over the course of the holiday break we actually had a net gain of 10 students there been so many other successes this year and academics and Athletics in this year's missions week in the high school great kickoff to the new semester I personally was able to witness God and stealing such a big vision for his kingdom in the hearts of our students and I know that our students in the high school's ability to connect with Elementary student prayer Partners had a significant impact on the families in our ultimate Mission at Trinity Christian is to partner with parents and providing a Biblical worldview education training our students to be christ-like leaders sometimes in the middle of discussions about the details of budget of freaking on the discipline excetera easy to lose sight of that mission but there are times when I see evidence that good things are happening I want to share with you a message that I recently received from a parent at another school in our district it says good afternoon I hope this email finds you well if your school is the same school that played such as such Christian School varsity football last night I would like to come in your school on Exquisite sportsmanship the way your players and fans in Iraq to treat one another and our Pony are your opponent's was encouraging and it was such an example of Kingdom Behavior I wanted to thank you for creating a learning environment that Fosters is kinds of behaviors that I saw it was a great reminder what's Texas football often looks like under the right leadership this is such a great reminder that is a family we all represent I just TTS but we represent his kingdom we never fully understand the impact we have on something as simple as attending a football game it's a great reminder that our student-athletes are catching on to the bigger and really the real meaning of what it means to be a clock in 323 school now on a related note we're also seeing God's provision in amazing ways or South Campus we're out at the end of construction of a new baseball field working with the city to try and move board on a softball field as soon as possible these fields represent very real and significant needs that we had at the school and we are very grateful amazingly grateful to the TCS families who may become a reality but one question I frequently when are we moving to the South Campus Our intention is indeed shifting towards planning a new school buildings but if we initiate that process we know that we have some substantial cost for us to complete the necessary infrastructure really its water before we move forward with any other projects this infrastructure will have to be in place when the bigger picture I know that the answer to the question when are we moving is tied to the availability of Finance is needed to make you impossible only non-negotiable that we currently operate under is that we will not do anything that could potentially jeopardize the long-term viability of our school within those bounds we're currently examining what we can do what makes your debt donations and other sources of funding will make school buildings possible a huge blessing that we can celebrate is that as of this year PCS is paid off all of its remaining debt on the University campus Vista for just a much broader range of options as we plan now is respect to the campuses we do have a broad outline of an absolute dream master plan campus it would meet the needs of approximately 1200 students are planning efforts now or turning towards identifying a more realistic building plan that falls within the limits of what we David Lee fun now on the topic of facilities I do think it's important to pause and reflect on one important fact that's this that the single most important factor that determines the quality of your family's experience at TCS is not necessarily filleti's but it's the staff that your student interacts with every single day if the teachers in the classroom is the coaches in the counselors in the nurses who invest of themselves in amazing way so as we discussed facilities in the new campus I want to make sure that we proud how's the people that matter the most it with this in mind I want you to know that my top Financial priority for the upcoming school year is to raise teacher salaries may not realize it better average teacher salary Falls State Medical School teachers moreover it's even are there below the average for public school teachers here in our area our teachers understand and I appreciate the ability and the opportunity to be in Ministry however we reached a point where I feel compelled to address this Gap in pay listen to cutting costs and some other places are redirecting the funds of McCann towards teacher salaries I want you to know that for next year you can expect a roughly 8% increase in tuition now a hundred percent of this increase will go directly to salaries for an average student Fiesta time out to about $60 a month increase in tuition cost as necessary sacrifice that our families make to be able to place for students epcs please sir this point our aim is to ensure that no current DCS family to reconsider their ability to stay at TCF based on this increased over the last few years that we have available for families in addition we were extremely blessed this year to pass a very important milestone for TCF the gold the bill and Joyce Harrington down is to ensure that the finances never preclude family from attending PCS in a few months ago this endowment surpassed $1000000 allowing us to begin using funds that it generates to increase our ability to my tuition assistance now please hear me on this if you find yourself in a difficult financial situation please allow us the opportunity to walk to that situation with you we have assistance available perhaps at this point is a good idea refresh your memory about how TCF is actually funded as is the norm in almost every private Christian School tuition only covers about 80% of the actual cost to run the school for us that tuition covers about 83% of our budget. Because we're a Ministry Trinity Church we're blessed to have a large portion of the remaining gaps supported by the church but in addition this year we still have to raise approximately $460,000 to meet our budget the blessing that we're well on our way to covering this fundraising goal really we're going to get to Ashley Moore it's so it's a good reminder of why we cannot rely solely on fundraising to afford an increased our teachers before I closed there's one other announcement that I would like to make that really demonstrates God's faithfulness your school is whenever I sit to eventually raising the capital funds for a new campus and as we prioritize getting teachers closer to the pay that they actually deserve we did have some donors initiate a conversation about increasing Trinity's ability to attract and retain the best coaches as a result of these donors generosity we now have a second one million-dollar and down at that is fully funded the proceeds that this endowment generates will increase our ability to impact teacher and Coach Trinity Family I am so excited about God has in store for us in the near future there's so much more work to be done and we've already come so far but right now I am asking you to consider joining with our administrative team or teachers or is that in our board as we pray about the next steps in realizing a new campus for school but perhaps more important than that I'm also asking that you pray for God's favor as we work to make sure that we have the resources necessary to attract and retain the very best teachers and coaches amazing service who God is calling to be a part of arm this is going to be such an amazing spring semester thank you for allowing us to partner with you we are so blessed to be a part of your family God bless
