How to Apply

The Trinity Christian School admissions process is really about creating a partnership with your family. Can we work well together and support your child?

That’s why we recommend you start by reaching out with any questions and then touring our campus in Lubbock, TX, to get a front-row seat to our culture and our teaching philosophy.

  • We offer tours at your convenience.
  • For students in grades 2 and up, we offer shadow days, where prospective students can experience anywhere from a full day on campus to just a single class.
  • For our younger students, 1st grade and below, we host a Taste of Trinity Preview Day in late January. We serve breakfast, visit classrooms, and answer questions for families. (If you missed it, don’t worry. We can still tour!)

Once you’re confident that we’ll make a great partner for your family, apply online. There is a $75 fee, and you’ll need all the typical documents, like a birth certificate, immunization records, and report cards, if available.

You may apply anytime throughout the year (provided there is still room), but you are encouraged to apply early to secure a spot for your child.

Statement of Faith

Trinity Christian School requires that at least one parent be a Bible-believing Christian, and a pastoral reference is needed from your local church.

MAP Testing

We do our best to serve students of all academic abilities, but we do have prospective students take MAP testing starting in 1st grade. This test is a computer adaptive achievement test that covers Math and Reading. The computer adjusts the difficulty of the questions so that each student takes a unique test.

Interview

Once the application is in process, parents — and sometimes prospective students — meet with our principals for an in-person interview.

Trinity Christian School is interdenominational and serves families from more than 40 area churches. Our mission is to graduate students with a firm biblical foundation and an excellent education. In keeping with that mission, TCS invites the following:

  • Families who are defined according to the biblical perspective of marriage; that marriage is between a male and a female.
  • Families who are growing in their personal Christian walk and are involved in a local Bible-believing church. Trinity Christian School requires that at least one parent have a personal saving relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Middle and high school students willing to sign and abide by the TCS Honor Code.
